Parade Information

May 7, 2021
Greetings to everyone,
The Celebrate Aurora Committee is pleased to announce there will be a 3 rd of July parade this year followed by a spectacular fireworks display.
Much thought and consideration has gone into this decision. The event will be scaled down from previous years. We would like to invite your group, organization, and/or business to participate in our evening patriotic parade. We are also opening this up to groups and individuals of all ages as there will NOT be our traditional 4 th of July morning kiddie parade.
On the 3rd of July we will also have vendors, a medallion hunt, events for kids, and a vintage car show prior to the start of the parade.
Parade lineup will take place starting at 4:15 by the Mesabi East environmental building (old Plagemans floral)With the parade kicking off promptly at 5:30.
Participants who are not entering for prize money (local queens, politicians, promotional and informational units) are welcome to participate. Paid performers will not be eligible for prize money. All other parade participants entering for prize money must fit into one of our prize categories. Please see attached sheet for categories, prize amounts, line up information and parade rules and regulations.
All parade entry forms must be returned by June 23, 2021, to the address below. Parade coordinators will have the final say as to how the lineup will be coordinated.
Parade lineup will begin at 4:15 and all participants must register at the registration booth so you can be assigned a category number.
Children 16 and under will also need to register at the registration booth but they will then be directed to a starting point located at Bradach lumber unless they are on a motorized float. The length of the entire parade route has been taken into consideration and the “kiddie” parade will be at the front of the line.
These changes to our typical 4 th of July celebration will again be posted on social media and advertised locally. Thank you for the many years you have supported and taken part in our Celebration, making it memorable for all who attend. Again, please read through the attachments and return entry by June 23, 2021, to the address below.
